Software Projects That Failed

Marrashe says : Along with the article suggested, here are some of the major reasons project fail:
1. Technically incompetent management
2. Unrealistic schedules
3. The "Let's just add more resources (people)" game. This again goes to technical incompetence.
4. Poor requirements specification. this usually goes all the way up the chain to Marketing not understanding their users needs.

Project Managers nedd to have been in the Engineering trenches and keep their knowledge up to date otherwise they are pretty much useless
