Hi Lionel.

Welcome.

So explain this for me...you are a new RentaCoder? The buyer pays no fees, the bidders pay no fee until s/he wins a job. There appears to be no escrow provisions. Do you operate an arbitration service?

bas says : Hi Lionel,

You also caught my attention... what do you provide? I post a project for free. People bid on it? Do you escrow?

Cheers
Bas

BTW welcome to the board.

clifford.lobo says : its a very simple formula, you guys can also check out this site called http://www.elance.com where bidders meet to submit thier proposals on requirements that are posted as a loop. i remember sometime back when we were looking out for someone to offshoring our work, we were on a lookout for bidders.

there are many risks to do so, first of all, the winner who gets the bid will complete the development work for you, but there is no patienting of the work done and the bidder can use the work done for you as snippets to any other future work. Also data confedentiality suffers a kick back especially when you do not want to disclose your profile and list of client to anyone outsider that can damage your business plannings and strategies.

If you really want to go for outsourcing something small and non risky, i think sites like elance is the best place to go about, but if there are somethings which are confedential and can get into quite messy terms (legal and others) its better you have an agreement with the bidder as per your laws and contract terms. (but does this help?? Maybe in some cases)

Cygnet-Infotech says : I hope Elance is one among the best to get projects and we are using that for quite some times and we feel it is very good place for business, the terms and conditions are also not that complicated
