Online PM Software
salcorp says : Does anyone know of a good Project Management web-application that can manipulate cost, set time, create Gant charts and make manage document flow? Completely web.
Iīve found a few but only with the separated applications like time management in one... risk evaluation in other...
It could be like one-time purchase or monthly-charged....
Bernard says : Have you tried searching through the directory of web based project management software:

I've also got a hobby directory of Windows based project management software
salcorp says : Thanks Bernard.... didnīt think of that..

Craig,
Personally, I would feel ashamed asking someone else to write my homework for me. How the hell do you expect to hold down a job in the industry if you have bought your way through to the graduation ceremony? Maybe you should pick a field that you are passionate about and study that...it gives you a great feeling earning top marks for your own work...a natural high!

Bernard says : Asking one time was enough
salcorp says : That is pathetic.
I feel like one of those geeks that the jocks paid to do their homework.
Oh wait... I am one of those geeks.. =)
but still... use that gray stuff that you got in excess located in the hard box over your sholders. Maybe someday itīll pay off.

Thanks for the pointers Bernard. I may have to spend some time tomorrow visiting these.
A couple of years ago I worked with a woman employed in a large bank who used their own intranet-based project management software. She told me how every employee had access to the basic information and others were given appropriate access to higher and higher levels of information. She said this helped to keep the rumours from developing. Have you any experience of this type of enterprise-wide system?
Regards,
Bernard says : I have over 20 years of project management experience, but it is mostly specific to managing turnaround maintenance projects for industrial plants (refineries, chemical plants, etc.). Turnarounds are by and large self contained projects with their own dedicated labor pools and generally the highest priority work that is occurring in the plant during their execution. Turnarounds have their own unique project management needs (see a comparison of turnarounds vs. EPC projects) and so our company has developed a software solution specific to managing them. As a result, I do not have any experience using the multi-tiered Enterprise systems that are available. We do not require one for our in-house software development.
However, I have examined a few of them in the process of developing integrations for our eTaskMaker planning system. Most of the major systems offer the same basic multi-tiered, password protected access to projects as you have described. A key buzzword for this functionality is "dashboard". Customizable dashboards are more or less customized, on-screen windows into the project data.
P.S. In addition to my industry specific project management experience, I have been a software developer as well. I am in the fortunate position of experiencing the contrasting demands of project management across industries.
