On the subject:
Women might have all the better skills to be projectmanagers, but...
Men however are a bit more blind to risks.
That helps to give them a positive attitude towards a project.
That helps to get the project started and to keep it rolling.
It even helps to get exception report after exception report accepted; because the man is convinced that this time nothing will go wrong.
In the end the male led project wil have run 3x too long and cost 2x the money.
But the project was started AND the project was finished resulting in a piece of work that will be the stepping stone of another piece of work that will be the stepping stone of a worldwide standard thatīs affordable and does what it should.
In short, men are better at leading projects that offer longterm gain, the kind of projects that no one in their right mind would start with a short term ROI way below 100% but the kind of projects that mankind needs to prosper.
