Any Experiences With SCRUM?
3CPO says : Ok, I'll volunteer for the first post :)
I work for a software company that does a lot of Rapid Application Design (we just ask and code hehehehehe, can also be called Agile ).
I have a collegue that is just talking about switching to SCRUM... can anyone give me some thoughts on that... is it worth it? what will it take?
Bye. Michael.
Brad says : Your collegue must be a lazy guy that doesn't want to tell his boss stuff his is not sure off. Like exetreme programming and this whole agile mantra as a mater of fact it is for lazy programmers that don't want to document / design / etc. SCRUM is a good management sauce for it: how about telling your customers just one month in front what they are going to get: "because we cannot be sure if it is on time before that period". Get some balls, and be a professional, make an informed guess and tell the customers some things months ahead so they can plan themselfes and know if you work properly.
3CPO says : Hi Brad,
?????? I don't understand you. As a matter of fact, yes, my collegue is lazy :D
But I don't get the point where that is relevant. What is it in SCRUM that leaves customers in the dark about what they are getting?
